MIL RÍOS: FRESH WINES WITH A UNIQUE PERSONALITY, MADE FROM THE NATIVE GODELLO AND MENCÍA VARIETIES.
Shaped by a deep, fertile and luminous valley through which the River Sil flows peacefully, creating a magical landscape of granite and slate, our Terriña winery has recently been restored and is one of the oldest wineries in the Valdeorras Designation of Origin. It is located in the north-west of the province of Ourense, at Galicia’s natural gateway from the rest of the Iberian Peninsula.
Terriña’s philosophy is rooted in respect for the land, through sustainable viticulture and winemaking that preserves varietal character while bringing out the full potential of our Godello and Mencía grapes.

HAND HARVESTING
The winery owns 25 hectares of vineyards, where we produce wines protected under the Valdeorras Designation of Origin. The enormous winegrowing potential of our plots lies in the nature of their clay-ferrous soils and in the area’s climate, with cold winters, hot summers, mild autumns and springs, and moderate rainfall.
After years of research, the introduction of new technologies and the modernisation of our production process, we have succeeded in placing our Valdeorras wines among the finest in Spain, with exports to all five continents.

Respect for the Land
Terriña’s philosophy is rooted in respect for the land, through sustainable viticulture and winemaking that preserves varietal character and brings out the full potential of our grape varieties. Perfectly located and oriented, our vineyards lie on slopes overlooking the River Sil, on predominantly clay-ferrous soils, with Godello and Mencía as our signature grape varieties.
