We are delighted to share news that fills us with pride: Vía Romana Añada Mencía 2025 has been awarded the Acio de Ouro (Gold Cluster) as Galicia’s Best Red Wine 2026 at the 38th Catas de Galicia, the benchmark competition for the Galician wine sector organised by the Regional Government of Galicia (Xunta de Galicia).
Recognition at the Highest Level
Each year, the Catas de Galicia brings together the finest wines from Galicia’s Designations of Origin. This year’s competition featured 462 wines from 152 wineries, assessed in a blind tasting by a panel of highly respected wine professionals and oenology experts.
Receiving the competition’s highest distinction confirms our place among the leading names in Galician wine and recognises the dedication and expertise built over many years, from the vineyard to the bottle.
